The Challenge

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked is one of the brand's most anticipated launch events, introducing the latest innovations across the Galaxy product range. For this event, Samsung required a production partner capable of delivering a high-quality live broadcast while operating within a busy experiential environment at Samsung KX in London.

The production needed to support the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy Book and Galaxy Buds across multiple platforms, while accommodating a live audience, activation spaces, influencer-led content and evolving event requirements. Strict embargoes, last-minute updates and a fast-moving production schedule added further complexity, requiring a flexible team capable of adapting in real time without compromising the viewer experience.

Our Approach

Preference Studio was responsible for the end-to-end planning, production and delivery of the live broadcast and supporting content.

Working closely with stakeholders throughout the project, we designed the broadcast workflow, managed production logistics, created call sheets and schedules, supplied crew and equipment, and oversaw technical delivery from setup through to live transmission.

By bringing production, broadcast and content creation together under one roof, we were able to create a streamlined workflow that supported both the live event and Samsung's wider content objectives.

End-to-End Delivery

From the earliest planning stages through to final delivery, Preference Studio acted as the production partner responsible for the complete live content operation.

Our team managed production planning, technical design, crew management, equipment provision, rehearsal schedules, live direction, streaming infrastructure and post-production requirements. This approach ensured a single point of accountability throughout the project and allowed the team to respond quickly to changing requirements in the lead-up to the event.

The result was a production that remained agile, collaborative and reliable despite the challenges of a large-scale live launch environment.

Production Setup

To capture the event from multiple perspectives, Preference Studio deployed a six-camera production setup consisting of four fixed cameras and two roaming wireless cameras.

The production included live vision mixing, custom overlay graphics, VT playback and a full in-ear communications system to ensure seamless coordination between crew members throughout the broadcast.

The setup allowed the team to capture both the main presentation and the wider atmosphere of the event space, helping bring the excitement of the launch to audiences watching remotely.

The broadcast was streamed simultaneously across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and Samsung-owned channels, extending the reach of the event across multiple audiences and platforms.

Behind The Scenes

Behind every successful live broadcast is a team working to anticipate challenges before they happen.

With a live audience, active experiential zones, influencer appearances and evolving event requirements, the production demanded constant communication and rapid decision-making. Preference Studio's crew worked closely together throughout setup, rehearsals and live delivery to ensure the production remained flexible while maintaining broadcast-quality standards.

The behind-the-scenes process highlights the planning, coordination and technical expertise required to deliver complex live productions in demanding environments.

Content Outputs

While the live broadcast was the centrepiece of the project, the production was designed to generate value beyond the event itself.

Deliverables included a teaser campaign asset, multi-platform live broadcast coverage and a post-event highlight reel, alongside the capture of additional content designed to support ongoing marketing activity.

By planning content creation alongside the live production, Samsung was able to maximise the value of a single event across multiple channels and formats.

One Event. Multiple Outcomes.

The Galaxy Unpacked launch was designed as more than a standalone broadcast.

By combining live production, content capture and post-production workflows, the event became the foundation for a wider content ecosystem. Broadcast coverage, teaser content, highlight edits and evergreen assets were all generated from the same production, helping extend the impact of the launch well beyond the live event itself.

This approach reflects our wider content systems philosophy: capturing once and creating content that continues delivering value across multiple platforms and campaigns.

Beyond The Broadcast

The content journey did not end when the live event finished.

Following Galaxy Unpacked, the team moved directly into Samsung's TikTok Shop live commerce programme, supporting a ten-hour live shopping broadcast the following day.

This enabled Samsung to build on the momentum generated by the launch event and connect product awareness with audience engagement and social commerce activity. By supporting both broadcast and live commerce workflows, Preference Studio helped create a connected experience across multiple customer touch points.

The Results

Hugely proud of the work delivered

This project successfully delivered a seamless multi-platform live broadcast while supporting Samsung's wider content and marketing objectives.

Performance metrics and audience data will be added as they become available, however the project demonstrates Preference Studio's ability to plan, manage and deliver complex live productions while simultaneously supporting broader content strategies.
